My hotrod is budging at 3 miles an hour. That doesn’t take into consideration the light that I had to sit through twice. That’s right. I’m not inching down the 405 freeway; I’m on an ordinary street. I could take a detour, but they’re tearing those streets up also. The roads were fine and smooth until they started. I could be patient and wait six months for these few lanes to be completed. But then they’ll just destroy another perfectly fine street. The “Big Dig” is erupting throughout America.
My mind is jumping around as I sit in still mode. Anyway, this is the question that’s harassing my brain: Exactly when are the Republicans going to dump Cheney and sneak in Giuliani, in order to have half a chance for the 2008 elections?
